Welcome to Musicians Institute Japan!
Musicians Institute, Hollywood, California, has been one of the most respected music education facilities in the world since its inception in 1976. Beginning as a guitar school, MI gradually expanded to include instruction in guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals and keyboards. In the last ten years Musicians Institute has expanded further to include instruction in recording, music business, guitar building and film.
In 1995 guitar manufacturer E.S.P. entered into a partnership with Musicians Institute, and soon after began a new music education
venture here in Japan called MI Japan. Small to start, MI Japan grew
- and today as Musicians Institute Japan schools are thriving in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sendai, Fukuoka, Sapporo, and Hiroshima. Though located half way across the world, Musicians Institute Japan shares MI Hollywood's philosophy of preparing students for a life of being a professional musician. Instructors who are out working in the music industry bring back a wealth of real-world knowledge and experience to share with their students. MI Hollywood curriculum is used in many Musicians Institute Japan classes - curriculum that has been proven to help students learn both quickly and effectively.
